Here are the specific platform priorities I'll be bringing to the table:Accountability & Transparency
Government should run with the same transparency as a well-managed project site. No backroom deals, no hidden agendas, and no ducking hard questions. If a decision is made that isn't to your liking, you can talk to me and I'll explain why the decision was made the way it was. Further, if a policy fails, I won't spin it. I've been married long enough to know that I can admit a mistake, fix it, and move on.A Strong Alberta Is A Strong Canada
We can stand up to Ottawa’s bad policies, like the fertilizer emissions cap, without threatening to flip the table and walk out on our country. There are 3 things I would like to see with respect to equalization payments:
1) Provincial Auditor Generals should start to audit the payments so we can be sure the money is used appropriately, and if not it should be repayable.
2) If a province (say, Quebec) decides not to develop their resources, that's fine and entirely their choice. That should reduce their share of equalization by what the industry should be making.
3) Lastly, recipients of equalization should be introducing legislation to help lift themselves up.We can participate in Canada with a firm grip rather than a clenched fist and it would be nice to see everyone rowing in the same direction a little more.Restoring Discipline
(The Notwithstanding Clause)The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is there to protect people from government overreach and is the floor for how we should treat each other. In recent years, we’ve seen provinces use the Notwithstanding Clause to paper over bad legislation or poor decisions. Respecting the rule of law and the fundamental rights of every citizen is crucial for any government.Albertans with Disabilities
Right now, Alberta is lagging behind almost every other province in Canada when it comes to comprehensive accessibility legislation. Building a framework to help people who want to work, but face extra hurdles shouldn't be a partisan issue. That’s why our party leader, Peter Guthrie, voted in the house to support the NDP's Accessible Alberta Act because good ideas are just that, regardless of who comes up with them.The Firearm Buyback program
Its stuff like this that needs a firm stance against the federal government. I’m a licensed gun owner and I have firearms sitting in my safe that have been placed on Ottawa’s prohibition list. It's a frustrating, deeply flawed policy, and to be blunt: it’s expensive and stupid.The federal government keeps sinking money into programs with both miserable participation rates and absurdly high price tags. Alberta’s Chief Firearms Office should remain focused on public safety and education and leave law-abiding gun owners alone.

I live here in Westlock County. If you see me around the county, I’m usually in my work clothes, not a suit. I’m a Red Seal carpenter, a business owner, and a guy who believes our province should run on data and results.

Secondly, the roof material going up with my picker truck. I believe in hard work, local enterprise, and keeping things grounded.I’m also stepping up to build something steady and reliable for our community's future. I helped an enthusiastic young lady fix a pencil sharpener in her school. This one was just clogged.

Turns out these girls don't really like flowers. One of my favourite games to play with them is "Sweet and Sour" by mixing lemons and limes in with apples and oranges.

My Work

Out here, I can't get by being a one-trick pony. Over the last 15 years, I’ve done a lot of varied work. I've gone from leading scaffolding crews in the refineries to building commercial structures from the dirt up.A major part of my career has been delivering facility and maintenance contracts for the federal government, which is tricky. Every dollar has to be accounted for, every specification has to be met and, since I'm a contractor and not an employee, the feds expect results.Here is an example of the work I’ve been trusted to deliver right here in Western Canada:

Honoring Our VeteransI've completed many contracts for Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), and the Last Post Fund (LPF).For years, my company has been trusted with the responsibility of maintaining, restoring, and installing veteran memorials and military graves across Western Canada. This isn't just landscaping; it’s restoring them to a respectful state to the standards in the National Technical Maintenance Manual.During the height of the pandemic lockdowns, with supply chains messed up and health mandates shifting every week, my crew maintained a 99.8% success rate. The deliverables were so high they attracted attention of the auditors to find out how, why, and who.I take pride that my projects are done on time and on budget across provincial lines. When the pressure was on, things kept moving forwards and I honored my word to our veterans, and their families.

I’ve managed ongoing facility maintenance, renovations, and asset preservation for federal agricultural sites. I understand the rules, the strict environmental regulations, and the realities of keeping public agricultural infrastructure operating safely and efficiently without wasting public dollars.
